The NCS Broadband Network is designed to support VPNs, and we
guarantee compatibility with your office VPN. We understand the
needs of telecommuters and we will work with you and/or your network
administrator to make sure you can access your office VPN over the
NCS Broadband Network.
The NCS Broadband Network provides an Ethernet interface for your
computer, which means it's fully compatible with WiFi and Ethernet
in-home networks and Internet connection sharing routers. There is
never an additional monthly charge to use additional computers in
the same household.
There is no software to install to access the NCS Broadband
Network, so you can use any Internet and Ethernet enabled device,
including Windows PCs, Pocket PC, Palm OS, Mac OS, OS X, Linux,
UNIX, Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Xbox. You name it; we can
provide a connection for it.
NCS Broadband Business Subscribers are offered a static IP address,
which means you can access your
network or computer from anywhere in the world where you can find an
Internet connection. This is particularly useful with Microsoft's
Remote Desktop Sharing that is built into every Windows XP based
computer.
The NCS Broadband Network utilizes Patented "Polling" Technology to
guarantee that every subscriber is given equal access to the
network. While speeds will vary with traffic on any Internet
connection, the NCS Broadband Network allocates available bandwidth
to every subscriber on an equal basis, so a single "Bandwidth Hog"
can not dominate the network.
The NCS Broadband Network is built on Micro-Cellular technology.
Each Micro-Cell services a smaller area than a typical cable modem
or DSL network, so valuable network resources are dedicated to a
smaller number of subscribers in each service area.
The NCS Broadband Network is designed to be economically viable in
smaller residential developments than DSL or cable modems, this
means that in many cases NCS Broadband service is available where
others are not.
THE BOTTOM LINE, NCS
BROADBAND IS BETTER.
